To display the properties for the Replicator Service, select the name of the computer that represents the service, right-click, and select the Properties command. The Properties command also is available from the View menu.
The Service Properties dialog allows you to configure the Replicator Service. You can specify:
Replicator (global) settings, which affect how the Replicator Service handles all replications
Control DB connection limits, which control how many connections can be established to the Control database and how many connections can be pooled.
Connection pool limits, which control how pooled connections are maintained
Subscription wizard settings, which affect column mapping choices made by the subscription wizard
Logging of replication history records and Windows events
Whether to send notifications regarding the status of groups to an email address
When the Data Replicator software is removed there is an option of preserving the service properties, control database, and scheduled tasks that have been specified. If the Data Replicator software is then re-installed, such as to upgrade to a new version, the service properties reflect those that were previously saved.
