Task Schedule Dialog

Use the Task Schedule dialog to set up a recurring schedule for running a replication subscription. For snapshot replications the schedule determines when the replication operation is run. For incremental subscriptions the schedule determines when the Data Replicator checks to determine whether a baseline replication must be performed for any subscription in the group.

Occurs

In the Occurs frame, select the Daily, Weekly, or Monthly option to set the frequency at which the replication task will run. The right frame displays prompts that are appropriate to the option you select:

Daily Frequency

The Daily Frequency frame specifies the time or times of day that you want the subscription to run. To run the replication task once on each designated day, select Occurs Once at and enter the time to run the replication task in the adjacent edit field. To run the replication task at regular intervals during a range of hours on each designated day, select Occurs Every and specify the interval for running the task and a starting and ending time. For example, to run the replication task every 30 minutes between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., enter Occurs Every 30 Minute(s) Starting at 9:00AM Ending at 6:00PM.

Duration

The Duration frame specifies starting and ending dates for the recurring schedule. Enter the date that you want to start running the subscription in the Start Date field. To specify a date after which the subscription will not run, click End Date and type the date in the adjacent edit field. To allow the subscription to run at the scheduled interval until you either change its schedule or delete it, click No End Date. Choose start and end dates that are compatible with the designated days, weeks, or months to run the subscription. For example, if a subscription is set to run every Thursday, setting the start date to a Friday would delay the first replication until the following Thursday. Similarly, if a subscription is set to run on the second day of every month, setting an end date of 11/01/2008 would cause the last replication to occur on 10/02/2008.
