With StarLicense Manager you can configure more than one license server, each of which has unique StarQuest product license(s) installed and/or is running the StarLicense service. When a client issues a request for a connection to the host, the StarLicense service attempts to check out a license in the following order:
from a license installed on the local computer
from a DNS definition for a license server
from a list of primary and secondary license servers
