If communication between the desktop and the host uses SNA, you must configure the SNA Server or SNA stack software.
Keep in mind these relationships between SNA settings and the values configured in VTAM:
For the Mode Name setting, use the VTAM major node value for DLOGMOD, which should also match the LOGMODE value in the mode table entry.
For the Control Point Name setting, use the VTAM major node CPNAME.
For local APPC LUs associated with the server, use the VTAM major node LU name or names.
For the connection to DB2/MVS, set the Local Block Number to the IDBLK value in the VTAM major node PU definition. Set the Local Node Number to the IDNUM value in the VTAM major node PU definition.
For the remote APPC LUs assigned to the DB2/MVS connection, set the LU Alias, the LU Name, and the Uninterpreted LU Name to the LUNAME used when you configured the DDF record for BSDS. The LUNAME should match the ACB name in the VTAM APPL statement.
Consult your SNA Server or SNA stack documentation for detailed SNA configuration instructions.
