ReadOnly

Set the ReadOnly variable to Yes if the data source is read only. This prevents users from attempting to update the host database. Choose No if you want the StarSQL user to be able to update the host database, to the extent allowed by the host security.

If you are using MS Access and you choose Yes, performance will be significantly reduced. Use MS Access's SNAPSHOT ONLY feature instead of the Star SQL Read Only setting to prevent updates.
