If the TimeStampAsChar option is set to Yes, StarSQL converts timestamps to the char data type. This corrects a Microsoft Access problem with datetime precision loss and is needed only if you are using Microsoft Access. The default value is No.
The TimeStampAsChar keyword can be specified as a global setting (in swodbc.ini or swodbc64.ini, which resides in the StarSQL program directory) and for a specific DSN configuration (in the ODBC data source). If the keyword is specified in both and there is a conflict in the value, the DSN setting takes precedence.
