Skipping a Scheduled Replication

If a snapshot subscription or group is scheduled to run on a regular basis, you can disable it from running and still retain the schedule settings. This allows you to temporarily suspend the replication, skipping as many of the scheduled replications as needed, and then re-enable the subscription or group to run on the previously defined schedule.

  1. In the Replicator Manager main window, select the subscription or group that you want to disable.

  2. Right-click and select the Properties command.

  3. Click the Schedule tab and de-select (no checkmark) the Scheduled option.

  4. Click OK to accept the change and return to the main window.

The Data Replicator keeps the previous schedule information, but will not automatically run the subscription as long as the Scheduled option is disabled.

To resume regular replications after disabling a subscription, repeat the above steps but turn on (checkmark) the Scheduled option to re-activate the schedule.

SQDR Plus optionFor subscriptions that perform incremental replication you can change the schedule for when SQDR checks the group of subscriptions to determine if any require a baseline replication to be run. You also can pause updates to temporarily suspend the incremental replication operations.
