Run Group Command

The Run Group command starts a replication operation for the selected group. You can execute the Run Group command for any group that is not already running.

Running a group of incremental subscriptions runs a baseline replication only for subscriptions that do not have a baseline or that require synchronization of the data ( warning state). Running a group of incremental subscriptions for which changes are flowing normally () has no affect since a new baseline replication is not needed. Select a group and then select the Run Group command from the File menu or right-click to display the context menu. If you need to force a new baseline for an incremental subscription, select the subscription for the Subscriptions folder beneath the corresponding source (Sources folder) and execute the Run Subscription command.

If a group schedule is enabled to run automatically, as described in Scheduling Replications, and the schedule is triggered when the subscription is being run on demand, the scheduled replication generates an error to the event log.
