The Run Subscription command starts a replication operation for the selected subscription. You can execute the Run Subscription command for any subscription that is not already running. Select a subscription then select the Run Subscription command from the File menu or right-click to display the context menu.
To force a new baseline replication of an incremental subscription you can select the incremental subscription from the Subscriptions folder beneath a specific source (Sources folder) and execute the Run Subscription command. Use the Run Group command if you want to perform a new baseline replication only for incremental subscriptions that do not have a baseline or that are in a warning state (
).
If a subscription schedule is enabled to run automatically, as described in Scheduling Replications, and the schedule is triggered when the subscription is being run on demand, the scheduled replication generates an error to the event log.
